I decided to have a play with my *new* Dina Wakley paints in my miniature moleskine art journal and I have to say I LOVE them. I LOVE them almost as much as I LOVE my *new* Dina Wakley paint brushes. I am always looking for the perfect paintbrush and I think I just found it ;-) Brushes are either too floppy or too bristly or too hard, but not these ones ... these are perfect!
The images came from a magazine, I've been hoarding them for ages.
Last weekend I had a fab weekend 'darn sarf' at Wantage in Oxford teaching at the wonderful The Stamp Attic. It was a hot hot hot and unusually sunny weekend but that didn't put these ladies off their art journaling! The lovely Heidi even came all the way from Norway for the weekend, now that's what you call dedication. On day 1 we made funky colourful backgrounds and added collage images:
And on day two we had a go at Whimsical faces. Needless to say there was a fair bit of 'it's too hard!' and 'I can't do it!' but of course everyone persevered and in the end they all did a great job! Well done everyone!
(Er ... I'll try and keep my eyes open next time LOL!)
Byeeeee for now!
